Built by Boaters & Engineers
Atlantis was born from engineers who actually live and work on the water. We own boats, run lifts at our own docks, and manage marina operations daily—so we built automation that works for both the boater protecting their vessel and the dockmaster running an entire waterfront.
Hardware + software from day one
Instead of bolting apps onto legacy boxes, we engineered the Atlantis Mini and Atlantis Plus controllers with native cloud connectivity, telemetry, and the Atlantis Control mobile experience.
Marketplace & ecosystem
Dockwa bookings, Eagle Eye cameras, utility telemetry, and fuel POS run through Atlantis so a single switchboard runs the entire property.
Founder
Before launching Atlantis, John engineered open-source self-driving car systems at Comma.ai, contributing to openpilot and the ecosystem that brought real-time autonomy tools to everyday drivers. His background in telemetry, safety-critical control systems, and transparent software now forms the backbone of Atlantis Smart Boat Lift Controllers and the Atlantis Marina Cloud.
John leads all hardware, controller, and retrofit PCB design at Atlantis, building systems that ensure every lift movement is safe, precise, and fully cloud-observable.
He still spends weeks each quarter on docks installing retrofits, tuning sensors, and writing product specs directly alongside operators—keeping the technology grounded in real-world use.
